The Roof Project is built on an open area of 1500 m2, is located in Ritz Carlton Istanbul, finished in 2021.

The main idea of this design was to create a social space in the open area, as well as to differentiate the focal points of the time spent by the users by serving many functions of the space.

The Roof is a place designed to serve the users of the Ritz-Carlton hotel and the residents of the Istanbul related with its contents and promises.

In the spatial scenario; There are areas such as an infinity pool overlooking the Istanbul bosphorus, a Restaurant area with glass covered above that can see the sky, sunbathing platforms in plant areas, an open bar area, DJ performance area, children’s pool, kitchen-WC-locker cabin.

When all these functions are integrated with the business scenarios, a multi-functional project has created that hosts global invitations, outdoor cinema shows, and activities such as sports and yoga.

Although all the architectural materials used in the project are part of the period in which it was found, a design that creates its own style in the whole is aimed, so it can also be related with the future. If spatial areas are designed to serve mutliple users, also if this area is in sight, users who are expected to use this place having trend-following character leads designer to think different possiblities in early process of the design. At this point, designers starting point became ‘’This project will be future-oriented, knowing the today’s trend, but keeping in the mind that this project could have its own style and can create its new trend’’

Since the scenario of the space was created for living in four seasons; Rain loads, wind and snow resistance loads, resistance to heat and light and resistance to moisture of the materials used were calculated. Although traditional construction techniques are used in practice, newest and current construction technologies and materials are chosen.
